1. A new keyword tool with a unique keyword database

The keywords for which you optimize your web pages are one of the most important factors for search engine optimization. If you choose the wrong keywords, all SEO efforts will be in vain and you will waste a lot of time and money.

If you choose keywords that nobody searches for then you won't get any visitors. If the competition for your keywords is too high then it will be very difficult to get high rankings. If you choose keywords that are used by web surfers with the wrong intention then you won't get many conversions.

A new keyword tool with a unique keyword database

Finding the best keywords for search engine optimization is crucial if you want to succeed with your website. For this reason, we have completely revamped the keyword tool in the new IBP version 11.

The new keyword tool in IBP helps you to find good keywords as quickly as possible:

new keyword tool

Just enter a keyword and IBP will quickly return the following information:

  • keyword suggestions for the entered keyword
  • the estimated number of monthly searches for the keywords on Google
  • the number of search results for the keywords on Google
  • the KEI (keyword effectiveness index) for these keywords

A unique keyword database

IBP's keyword tool uses the unique keyword database of KeywordIndex.com. KeywordIndex offers you a unique database that cannot be accessed through any other keyword tool on the Internet. KeywordIndex.com provides you with 38 million unique English keywords, and 20 million unique German keywords.

Through advanced algorithms, KeywordIndex can provide keyword search estimates for Google. The quality of the KeywordIndex database enables you to find keywords that are really used on the Internet.

Find keywords in 13 different languages

IBP's new keyword tool will also help you if you're looking for keywords in other languages. In addition to the keyword database of KeywordIndex.com, IBP's keyword tool can also access keyword suggestions of Google, Amazon and YouTube.

That means that you can use IBP's keyword tool to find keywords in thirteen languages: English, German, French, Spanish, Portuguese, Italian, Dutch, Danish, Norwegian, Polish, Finnish, Swedish and Turkish.

IBP's new keyword tool also offers many powerful keyword editing tools that help you to create targeted keyword lists for Google AdWords.

It will calculate the Google AdWords ad group focus and do many more things that will help you to run better AdWords ads. More information about these features can be found in the next issue of our newsletter. You can download the new IBP version with the new keyword tool here.

2. Search engine news and articles of the week

Bing Search
Initial Bing stats

"The chart below illustrates Bing’s daily market share of the search engine market in the UK compared with Yahoo!, Ask and Microsoft's other main property, Live Search [...]

Bing was the eighth most visited website in the UK (ahead of all BBC properties, but one behind MSN UK) and the third ranked search engine, accounting for 10.8% of the UK market. Since the initial launch hype, traffic to the site has declined."

Google to integrate Bing in search reports

"Recently Microsoft released a new search engine called Bing, which has begun sending traffic to websites with Google Analytics installed. Bing currently shows up as a referring site in the Traffic Sources reports. We are actively working on an update that will include Bing under the default list of search engines in Google Analytics."

Bing overtakesk YahooBing overtakes Yahoo!

"Microsoft’s Bing overtook Yahoo! as the number two search engine in the United States and worldwide on Thursday (4th June) according to our StatCounter Global Stats data. Bing grabbed market share from Google."

Google tests bid simulator

Google is testing a feature called "bid simulator," which helps advertisers make informed and efficient bid management decisions by estimating the results they would have achieved using hypothetical bid values. This feature is currently in a limited beta with a small number of advertisers.

Blind Search: compare search engines and cast your vote

"Blind Search is the name of a site that lets you enter a search query, and then shows you three result columns where you can vote on the best one. Because you don’t see where the particular results are coming from until after you vote, you will not be directly influenced by the brand. Part of the test of Blind Search are Microsoft’s Bing, Yahoo, and Google."

Search engine newslets

  • Microsoft advertising Bing through Google AdSense.
  • No trash cans for Google employees.
  • Yahoo's Bartz dings Bing; No AOL deal happening in the "forever future".
  • Wikipedia invades Google News.

3. Success stories

"Highly recommended."

"IBP has been great for our business. The software is user friendly and easy to use. I own KeyVacationRentals.com, an online vacation rental marketing company, and bought IBP because our site was recently sandboxed by Google.

As soon as I ran the SEO and Ranking reports, I was ecstatic because I finally saw why KeyVacationRentals was sandboxed. I finally could prove that past SEO consultants were a waste of my time and money.

I have only been using IBP for a little over a month and KeyVacationRentals.com has moved up to a 2/10 page rank. It's not where we were, but it's better than '0'. Sales are also up as well as contacts for our vacation rental owners. Thank IBP!"
